Being an ABM company, if our sales and marketing team were siloed..

We would have been the biggest Irony

Since we shout on top of our lungs that

Sales & marketing need to work together..

Both functions at Recotap are atleast 80% aware of what’s happening in the other department

So, a lot of my friends asked me how we do it

Here are the deets

  • Daily sync up: Every day we have a short 30-minute standup call where we discuss previous day’s happenings (marketing & sales included in 1 call)
  • Weekly Account Review: Every week, both teams get together & discuss the pipeline status of accounts, any operational hurdles and brainstorm on how to accelerate the deals
  • Monthly ABM Review: The last Thursday of every month, we review all the program-level metrics across channels and pool insights from each team member individually

Sounds really simple right?

I should mention here that we are true believers of Atomic Habits

(Small changes done consistently over long period yield extra-ordinary results)

Also we are a bit of a what you’d call ‘process freaks’

We want everything to be

  • Documented
  • Processified (repeatable)
  • Simple

We try to weed out complexity as far as we can

The result (alignment) may seem organic but we engineer it through a lot of planning
